Overview
Description
In this course, we will try to understand the market economy as a form ofcommunication. We will examine the ways economic activities inform,persuade, invent, coerce, reward, punish, judge, unite, and divide individualsand groups. To do this, we will analyze examples from popular culture,including movies, TV shows, and news stories. Assignments will include shortpapers and a creative group project.
