Description
This course is designed to introduce the student to the elements of the collective bargaining process. The course will focus on various elements and the nature and characteristics of the collective bargaining process. Included will be economic, legal, psychological, collective, continuing, alternative, power, and acquisitive characteristics. Students will be required to prepare case studies of specific bargaining relationships. Alternative bargaining structures and union models will be assessed. Open to all MPA students with Grad 8 status and second-year Executive MSILR students or by permission of the Office of Graduate Admissions and Student Services of the School of Public Affairs.
