Description
In conjunction with a student teaching experience, the student will learn to design lessons; plan classroom activities; collect data on children; develop goals, aims, and objectives for pupil self-improvement; individualize instruction; give appropriate reinforcement to the learning process; cooperate with other professionals as a member of an educational team; collaborate with parents; and gain insight and self-understanding as a professional member of the community of teachers of children with handicapping conditions. Experiences are planned for development of approaches and materials appropriate to the various curriculum areas and levels of development and instruction.
