Overview
Description
This course offers in-depth study of a single aspect of Shakespeare’s work, such as his use of sources, his lyric poetry, his Roman plays, his late Romances, his major tragedies, or his afterlives in adaptations or on film. Students will develop expertise in Shakespeare’s writing, his craft as a dramatist, and his innovations as a poet. Specific topics change each semester (please see the department website and CUNYfirst for details). Students may enroll in ENG 4145 more than once if the topic is different. The F -replacement may be used only if the same topic is repeated.
