Description
This course examines the theories and applications of gender in various communication contexts. Areas to be studied include: basic gender communication theories, roles and stereotypes, gender differences in verbal and nonverbal communication, processes and socialization, images of gender in the media, gender considerations in education, the impact of gender on friendships and romantic relationships, and mixed group vs. same sex group interaction.
