The course examines the US-Mexico borderlines as a political and economicstrategy, and as a racial and cultural construction the course addressesissues of Immigrations, environmental and human rights violations, corporatetransnationalism, and economic interdependence through film, historical, andliterary texts. (Students will receive credit for ANT 3021, LTS 3021, or SOC3021. These courses may substitute for each other with the F-replacementpolicy.)
