Description
This interdisciplinary course examines the historical, political, cultural and socioeconomic conditions of Latin America and the Caribbean from Pre-Hispanic times to the 19th century. The themes may vary from semester to semester. In line with the interdisciplinary nature of this topic, the course is taught by faculty from different disciplines. (Students will receive credit for only one of the following courses: BLS; LACS; or LTS 4902. These courses may substitute for each other in the F-replacement policy.)
