Description

Examines the challenges of administering charter schools. The history of the charter school movement is explored, with a special focus on New York City. The course explores problems in the management of charter schools, including the planning, organization, operation, and coordination of departments; services and facilities; finances; staff selection and assignment; pupil guidance; and performance measurement. Open only to Master of Science in Education students. Students from other degree programs by permission only.
