Description

This course explores the relationship of the school to the communities that it serves, including interrelationships with parents' associations, the community school board, community leaders, city-wide and neighborhood media, the business community, and other elements in the neighborhood. Strategies for citizen involvement and tactics for achieving coordinated teamwork among social, governmental, and community organizations, and the schools are examined. Open only to Master of Science in Education students. Students from other degree programs by permission only.
