Overview
Description
This course examines the development of the major schools of Indian philosophy: Vedanta, Samkhya, Yoga, and Jainism. The goal of all of these philosophies is liberation. As such, the course will investigate Indian views of the soul, God, and the nature of reality to explore the roles that these concepts play in their theories of liberation.(This course is cross-listed as AAS 2155 and REL 2155. Students may receive credit for PHI 2155, AAS 2155, or REL 2155. These courses may not substitute for each other in the F-grade replacement policy.)
