Description
Second-level statistics course providing an in-depth coverage of statistical inference and classical hypothesis-testing methods and integrating the use of the SAS statistical software package. Among the topics covered are the interrelationship of the t, x2, and F distributions; classical tests for the differences between means and variances; p values; contingency table analysis, including the two-way table and the McNemar test; an introduction to log linear models; nonparametric alternatives to classical tests; one-way analysis of variance models; and an introduction to survey sampling, including stratified, systematic, and cluster sampling.
