This course analyzes New York City government and administration, including city-state relations, the Office of the Mayor, the City Council, the executive departments, municipal civil service, taxation and budgeting, metropolitan planning, and governmental problems of the metropolitan region. Students analyze recent reports and proposals regarding the city and metropolitan region.
