Description

This course provides an overall historical context for women as entrepreneurs and recognizes the ethnic, racial, religious and socio-economic diversity of women entrepreneurs. This course asks how gender difference impacts the experiences of women entrepreneurs versus their male counterparts. It examines the factors that motivate women to become business owners, explores the different types of entrepreneurs, and analyzes the different issues women face. Lastly, the course identifies gender specific resources and strategies that may be used to "level the playing field" for women entrepreneurs.
