Description

Examination of the legal process and legal system and alternative dispute resolution and their effects on business in decision making. The different forms of doing business will be discussed and compared with emphasis on the corporate structure, along with discussions of the ethical considerations involved. Legal rules and decisions of courts and administrative regulatory agencies as they affect the business's contractual relationships with employees, customers, and others will be covered along with the interaction of environmental issues and technology. In addition, the legal effect of international transactions on modern business today will also be examined. Legal case studies and simulation will be used throughout the course.
