Description
A comprehensive study of the legal, regulatory and business issues confronting the entertainment industry. The course includes academic analysis as well as pragmatic deal negotiation and structure. The various aspects of the industry that will be studied include music, motion pictures, television, theatre, sports, book publishing as well as the major support functionaries such as talent agencies, managers, accountants and attorneys. The course utilizes interactive class participation including mock deal and contract negotiations, dispute resolution and small group problem solving.
