Elementary Japanese I

Japanese 1001-1002 is a yearlong introductory course in conversation geared to giving students a command of the everyday spoken language and grammar with a special concentration on the culture of the Japanese-speaking people. Students are drilled in pronunciation and the practical usage of the language while developing self-expression through the use of dialogues, skits, audiovisual aids and laboratory visits. These courses are not open to students with two or more years of high school Japanese and/or the NJPN student group.
