This course addresses these changes from the perspective of foreign firms entering emerging markets, therefore examining the distinctive business environments of emerging markets and analyzing the strategic options for responding to these effectively. Also, this course considers firms originating in emerging markets, examining their nature, and their impact on the international business environment and on international competition. Differences between emerging markets are explored, with an emphasis on understanding how political systems, market size, and resource availability influence the types of opportunities available.
