Description

This course presents the cultures, recent histories, and current conditions of the Asian countries in the context of global politics and economics. Through an examination of economic growth in the context of the world economy and political developments both within countries and among them, the course will provide a basis for understanding the Asian region in contemporary affairs. This course is equivalent to AAS 3346 and POL 3346. Students will receive credit for either HIS 3346, AAS 3346, or POL 3346. These courses may not substitute for each other in the F grade replacement policy.
