This course surveys the modern history of Asia, Africa, and Latin America - focusing on the role of these regions in the making of the Global Age, the common experiences that have helped shape many of these countries, and Third World perceptions of the Western world as well as Western perceptions of the Third World. The countries studied vary from semester to semester depending on the individual instructor.
