Description
This interdisciplinary course explores the intersection of art, music, and theater within the context of landmark cultural institutions in New York City that serve all three disciplines (e.g., the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, the Brooklyn Academy of Music). Through class lectures, class on-site visits, research projects, written and oral reports and independent attendance at performances and exhibitions, this course addresses issues concerning the cultural, historical, and socioeconomic forces.
