Description

Critical Approaches to Film provides students with an in-depth understanding of a specific film genre, filmmaker, national cinema, or critical issue. It is a communication-intensive course in which students engage theoretical and methodological topics through the close study of specific films. This course serves as the capstone course in the Film Studies Minor, although non-minors are also welcome.
