Description

This course describes modern analysis of American English phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics; its History from ancient modern times; how new words are formed, sentences are structured, meaning is influenced by situation and culture; and how regional and social dialects, World English, and current standard American English developed. This course is equivalent to ENG 3750. Students will receive credit for only one of those courses. These courses may not substitute for each other in the F grade replacement policy.
