Description

This course is designed to facilitate an understanding of the role the law has played in the development of civil rights for African-Americans. It examines and analyzes critical cases such as Plessy v. Ferguson, Brown v. Board of Education, and Regents of California v. Bakke. In addition, significant legislative and executive changes affecting the civil rights of African-Americans are discussed and analyzed.
